Here’s this story I just did for Time.com about the TLC show I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant.

And here’s part of the conclusion: Perhaps the show doesn’t have the best message: that a woman’s total ignorance of her body results in a happy surprise.

    Talk About women removed from their bodies. Helene Cixous talks about how women have been violently torn from the idea of their bodies as from writing of their own by the father figure. MTV and its quest for ratings has illustrated this gender theory well. thanks MTV 🙂
