90s Women in the Mainstream

Not only did the NYT give a shout-out to “90s women” on the music blog last night; your co-writer Marisa Meltzer was on WNYC’s “Soundcheck: Pop Princesses and Feminist Firepower” today. (She says, “I’m wearing plaid flannel right now.”) A conclusion of the show: feminism was repackaged as the Spice Girls, who have now reunited. Just found this photo on their site. In ten years, they weren’t able to find a shirt?
